Guwahati, 30 June (HS): Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has introduced the Indian Railways Native IoT based Yield Analysis, Telemetry, Recording and Control (IR-NIYANTRAC) system for online monitoring of lifts at major stations under the Rangiya Division.

The IoT-based platform, developed by CRIS, enables real-time monitoring of lift operations, instant fault detection and faster maintenance, ensuring safer and more reliable services for passengers.

The system has been fully implemented at two stations under Rangiya Division, covering two lifts each at New Bongaigaon and Rangiya stations. NFR said the initiative will improve operational efficiency, reduce downtime and strengthen technology-driven passenger amenities.----------
