New Delhi, 03 June (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended his congratulations and best wishes to Mette Frederiksen on assuming office as the Prime Minister of Denmark for a third consecutive term.

In a congratulatory message posted on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said that the enduring partnership between India and Denmark is founded on mutual trust, shared values, and a common commitment to a sustainable future.

The Prime Minister also expressed his eagerness to work closely with Frederiksen to further strengthen the India–Denmark Green Strategic Partnership.

It is noteworthy that Mette Frederiksen first assumed office as Prime Minister of Denmark in June 2019. She is the leader of the Social Democrats and is the second woman in Danish history to hold the office of Prime Minister. She is also the youngest person ever to serve in the position.

Prime Minister Modi’s message underscored the growing importance of bilateral cooperation between India and Denmark, particularly in the areas of green technology, sustainable development, climate action, and renewable energy under the framework of the Green Strategic Partnership.
