Hyderabad, June 28 (HS): AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Sunday filled the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration form for himself and his family and urged people to complete the exercise for their families and submit the forms to the Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

In a post on X, Owaisi appealed to voters to seek assistance from AIMIM functionaries in their respective areas or visit the party's Darussalam headquarters if they faced any difficulty in filling out the forms. He said all possible assistance would be provided.

The Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Telangana commenced on June 25 and will continue till July 24. According to election authorities, over 1.02 crore enumeration forms were distributed through door-to-door surveys between June 25 and June 27, covering around 30 per cent of the state.

Telangana is among the states included in Phase III of the Special Intensive Revision programme announced by the Election Commission of India in May this year.

Under the exercise, Booth Level Officers have been assigned to visit households, distribute partially pre-filled enumeration forms, verify voter details and collect the completed forms for updating the electoral rolls.
