Riyadh, June 28 (HS): Fourteen people were killed after a helicopter belonging to Saudi oil giant Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura on Sunday, Saudi state media reported.

According to the report, all 14 victims were Saudi nationals. The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

Saudi authorities said an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident, with the participation of the relevant agencies.

The helicopter crashed in Ras Tanura, home to one of Saudi Arabia's key oil facilities on the Gulf coast near the Strait of Hormuz.

The incident comes two days after Aramco resumed crude oil loading operations at the Ras Tanura terminal following a suspension of nearly four months amid the US-Israel-Iran conflict in West Asia.
