Guwahati, 27 June (HS): Assam BJP State Spokesperson Manas Sarania on Saturday alleged that the Assam Congress is grappling with severe internal discord and has become increasingly disconnected from both the people and its party workers.

In a statement issued from the BJP's state headquarters, Sarania claimed that factionalism, leadership struggles and organisational instability have weakened the Congress in Assam. He also alleged that the Congress high command's decision to send central observers to resolve internal disputes reflects a lack of confidence in the party's state leadership.

The BJP spokesperson further claimed that Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi has lost the trust of the party's central leadership and alleged that the Congress is struggling with political and organisational paralysis.----------
