
Jammu, 24 June (H.S.): Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner, Dr. Devansh Yadav, today reviewed the arrangements and facilities being put in place for pilgrims and sadhus arriving in Jammu for the annual Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra at Shri Ram Mandir, Purani Mandi.
During his visit, the Commissioner inspected the preparations at the temple complex and took stock of the special facilities being created to ensure a comfortable and hassle-free stay for the yatris.
Dr. Yadav carried out a comprehensive review of the infrastructure and essential services being developed within the premises, including accommodation, sanitation, food arrangements, drinking water, toilets and bathrooms, uninterrupted power supply, and medical facilities. He directed the concerned officials to ensure that all arrangements are completed well in time and maintained to the highest standards.
The Commissioner was also apprised of the ongoing work for the installation of a lift within the temple complex, which is expected to be completed by next year and will significantly enhance accessibility, particularly for elderly pilgrims and persons with disabilities.
Emphasising the importance of providing quality services to the devotees, Dr. Yadav instructed officials to ensure clean and comfortable accommodation, hygienic food, safe drinking water, proper bedding arrangements, and efficient sanitation facilities. He further directed that cleanliness be maintained round the clock and that all support services remain fully functional throughout the Yatra period.
