Mumbai, 22 June (HS): Amid mutiny inside the party, Shiv
Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray is set to launch a Maharashtra-wide outreach
drive to visit party workers in parliamentary constituencies, including those
of dissident party MPs. According to UBT Sena MP Sanjay Raut, Uddhav Thackeray
would kick off the campaign on June 27 in Yavatmal, followed by Washim in
Vidarbha and Hingoli in Marathwada. On June 28, he will visit Parbhani and
Dharashiv, then Shirdi on June 29. Sanjay
Deshmukh of Yavatmal-Washim, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar of Hingoli, Sanjay Jadhav of
Parbhani, Bhausaheb Wakchaure of Shirdi, Sanjay Dina Patil of Mumbai North
East, and Omprakash Raje Nimbalkar of Osmanabad were among those who skipped
the Sena (UBT) parliamentary party meeting and are expected to join the Shiv
Sena led by Eknath Shinde.
Uddhav visited the UBT Sena's offices in Bhandup West and
Ghatkopar, Mumbai, and spoke with party officials. Thackeray accused Sanjay
Dina Patil and other breakaway MPs of self-dealing. Shivsainiks continue to
stay steadfast despite treachery and the sale of MPs. I apologize for urging
you to vote for the traitor. I ran campaigns in all Lok Sabha constituencies.
I've handed him a ticket. He raised his price by winning the election, and then
he sold himself. He described this as a hazardous trend.
Reinstating the party's support for Congress, the UBT Sena chief asked,
Does anyone know who the president of BJP is? No. One day, a member
of Congress will become President. They claimed Congress Mukt Bharat, but it is
actually BJP yukt Congress.”
