Chandigarh, 22 June (H.S.): The Punjab Cabinet, led by
Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, on Monday approved the creation of the post
of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) along with supporting staff for
Dasuya Sub-Division under Hoshiarpur district. The decision is aimed at providing major relief to the
people of the area, who currently have to travel long distances for
district-level administrative work, approvals, revenue-related matters and the
redressal of public grievances.
According to the government, the absence of such
administrative facilities at the sub-division level often causes inconvenience
to the public, including wastage of time and additional financial burden. It
also leads to delays in the disposal of public-related matters.
Keeping in view the convenience of people living in
Dasuya and nearby areas, the Cabinet has given its consent to create five
posts, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) and other supporting
staff, at Dasuya Sub-Division under Hoshiarpur district. The move is expected to strengthen administrative functioning in the area
and ensure faster delivery of public services.
