BSP’s Brahmin-Dalit social engineering formula revival
rattles SP: Mayawati
Lucknow, 22 June (HS): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national
president Mayawati on Monday claimed that ever since the party has started
fielding candidates from upper castes, including the Brahmin community, in
preparation for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, uneasiness
has increased among the opposition parties, especially the Samajwadi Party
(SP).
Mayawati posted on Instagram on Monday, writing that it
seems natural that the BSP will form a government with a full majority, similar
to the 2007 election results, with the contribution of the Brahmin community.
It is well known that in a state with a large population like Uttar Pradesh,
the interests of the upper castes, especially the Brahmin community, are
protected only by the BSP. The Bahujan Samaj Party has implemented the
principle, intention, and policy of Sarvajana Hitaay and Sarvajana
Sukhay first at the party level and then, after forming the government,
has given them full respect and full participation at every level. For quite
some time, people from this community have felt neglected, insecure, and
cheated in governments run by other parties.
The BSP chief further said that not only this, but keeping
in mind the preparations of the Brahmin community to join the BSP on the basis
of social brotherhood, the process of making them party candidates is underway.
Mayawati said that if the BSP forms the government, they will be given full
respect and honour at every level as before. Along with this, people from the
upper castes like Kshatriya, Vaishya etc. and other communities will also be
made candidates in the elections on the basis of their preparations to join the
BSP, that is, 'the more one prepares, the more one's participation', for which
preparations are continuously going on at every level.
Mayawati said that unlike other parties, the BSP does not
engage in narrow, self-serving politics of handing out lollipops to a few, but
rather considers it its constitutional duty to care for the interests and
welfare of the entire society. Therefore, the BSP's policies and programs are
best suited to the public interest and welfare, as well as to crime control and
law and order, and are in the best interest of the country and the people.
