India-U.S. Agricultural Cooperation Gets Fresh Impetus Through Dialogue Led by IFFCO Chairman Dileep Sanghani

New Delhi, June 2 (HS): A high-level dialogue aimed at strengthening agricultural cooperation between India and the United States was held in Washington, D.C., under the leadership of Dileep Sanghani, Chairman of IFFCO. The engagement was hosted by the U.S.-India Business Council and attended by a delegation from PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to USIBC, the discussions led by Sanghani are expected to provide renewed momentum to India-U.S. cooperation in the agricultural sector by addressing shared challenges and exploring emerging opportunities. The dialogue focused on innovation-driven agricultural policies, sustainable farming practices, food security, and measures to enhance farmers' prosperity.

The meeting also featured extensive deliberations on improving agricultural productivity, promoting advanced farming technologies, strengthening soil health, expanding technical support for farmers, and developing innovation-based agricultural solutions. Participants from both countries agreed that deeper collaboration could open new avenues for growth and deliver long-term benefits to the farming community.

USIBC's public acknowledgment of the meeting has been viewed as a reflection of the growing international recognition of India's cooperative movement and IFFCO's expanding global presence. It also highlights Sanghani's role in presenting the interests of Indian farmers on international platforms.

Agricultural experts, policymakers, and industry representatives participating in the dialogue emphasized that stronger India-U.S. engagement in agriculture would contribute significantly to food and nutritional security while encouraging sustainable agricultural development.

The initiative is being seen as an important step toward advancing bilateral agricultural partnership, promoting cooperative-led development, and strengthening farmers' income, productivity, and agricultural security.
