
Nagpur, 19 June (HS): Nagpur and Vidarbha are rapidly
emerging as a crucial hub of the country's defense manufacturing ecosystem. Chief
Minister Devendra Fadnavis, along with Union Minister Rajnath Singh, today
inspected the 3D model blueprint of the upstream and downstream facilities of
the proposed 10,000-tonne extrusion press project at the Arms Factory Ambazari
under Yantra India Limited in Nagpur. At the same time, they also inspected the
multi-barrel rocket launcher system 'Pinaka'. On this occasion, Vijaykumar
Iyer, Chairman and Managing Director of Yantra India Limited, along with other
dignitaries, were present.
Building the Backbone of Defence Manufacturing: The state-of-the-art
10,000-ton-capacity extrusion press plant coming up in Nagpur will
significantly strengthen India’s self-reliance in producing critical aluminium
structures for defence manufacturing. Aligned with the vision of Make in India,
this ambitious project will accelerate the adoption of advanced technology,
drive industrial growth and create substantial employment opportunities, giving
a major boost to the nation’s manufacturing ecosystem.
