Jammu, 18 June (H.S.): District Police Udhampur, in coordination with the District Administration, demolished an illegally constructed property worth lakhs of rupees belonging to an accused involved in NDPS activities at Village Deol Gali under Khasra number 60, State land at Village Kalsote.

The accused Karan Pathi has been found involved in FIR No. 14/2021 U/S 8/18 NDPS Act. His continued involvement in drug trafficking activities had been under investigation.

During the course of investigation, it was revealed that he had encroached upon state land and constructed commercial structures, including two shops at Deol Gali, Kalsote.

The said illegal property, raised through proceeds of narco trade, was demolished as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan to dismantle the financial and logistical infrastructure of drug peddlers in the district.
