Guwahati, 18 June (HS): Dr Pitambardev Goswami delivered a lecture on the Neo-Vaishnavite culture and spiritual legacy of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev at the British Parliament in London, showcasing Assam’s rich cultural and religious heritage before an international audience.

The programme highlighted the artistic and cultural traditions of the Sankari movement, with performances and presentations reflecting the vibrant history of Assamese culture. The event provided a platform to introduce the philosophy, literature, music and artistic contributions of Srimanta Sankardev to members of the Indian diaspora and other attendees in the United Kingdom.

Among those present on the occasion were Deka Satradhikar Devananda Dev Goswami, Dr Jayanta Biswa Sarma and Aditya Goswami, along with a large number of Non-Resident Indians and members of the Assamese community living abroad.

The event was seen as a significant step in promoting Assam’s cultural identity on a global stage and strengthening awareness of the state's centuries-old spiritual and artistic traditions.-----------
