Lucknow, 17 June (HS): The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development

Mission (UPSDM) has taken an important initiative to prepare the youth of Uttar

Pradesh for future technologies, not just limiting them to traditional skills.

Under the guidance of Mission Director Pulkit Khare, an MoU was signed between

UPSDM and 1M1B - IBM Skill Foundation, with the aim of connecting the youth of

the state with Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital skills and emerging

technologies.

This partnership will play a vital role in preparing the

youth for future employment needs and connecting them with global digital

opportunities. Under this partnership, more than 1.5 lakh youth undergoing

training in more than 1000 training centres across the state under UPSDM and

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) will be given free

special training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Emerging Technologies and

Green Skills.

Mega job fairs and placement drives will be organised for

employment: The Mission Director stated that the objective of this partnership

is to prepare youth for future employment opportunities and connect them

directly with industry. Under this initiative, youth will be provided with

modern, job-oriented training tailored to current and future industry needs.

Following completion of training, large-scale Mega Job Fairs and Placement

Drives will be organized to connect youth with employment. Direct connections

with reputable companies and employers will be provided.

Special Employment Engagement Activities will be conducted

during the training period to enable participants to better understand industry

practices, the job market, and career opportunities. Interview Preparation

Sessions will be conducted to enhance personality development and professional

preparedness of the youth. Career Readiness Workshops will provide training on

communication skills, professional behavior, self-confidence, and workplace

expectations. The program's special focus will be on enhancing employability

among youth and preparing them for a competitive work environment.

Mission Director Pulkit Khare said that today's youth need

not only traditional skills but also a professional understanding of AI and

emerging technologies. This partnership with 1M1B - IBM Skill Foundation - will

provide free training to over 1.5 lakh youth aligned with future employment

needs. Through the 'Skill + AI Intelligence' model, we are preparing youth for

employment, career growth, and global opportunities.

AI for Public Service & Good Governance

workshop organized at Mission Headquarters

To mark the MoU, a special workshop was organized in

collaboration with the 1M1B-IBM Skill Foundation in the auditorium at Mission

Headquarters. Departmental officials and employees were provided detailed

training on the practical use of AI in government services.

The workshop highlighted how Artificial Intelligence (AI)

can make government operations more modern, faster, and efficient. Participants

were taught practical methods for writing effective prompts and developing

AI-based workflows, enabling more accurate and timely completion of everyday

office work. Training was also provided on how AI can be used to speed up the

preparation of government letters, reports, and documents, and to streamline

and streamline communication with citizens.

Information was also provided on the use of AI tools for

data analysis, better decision-making, and the effective implementation of

government schemes. A special discussion focused on the role of AI agents,

which are not limited to providing information but are also capable of

completing many tasks automatically. Furthermore, the importance of data

security, privacy, and adherence to ethical standards was emphasized,

emphasizing the safe and responsible use of AI in public services.
