Mumbai, 17 June (HS): Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated

and unveiled the stone plaque of Jabil's new manufacturing facility along with Union

Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji in Ranjangaon, Pune today. “The amount of

precision and technology that has gone into this facility is commendable. This

facility embodies the transformation happening in Maharashtra, which is

emerging as India's Data centre capital. The government of Maharashtra is

determined to ensure that the entire ecosystem around data centres, deep tech

and electronics flourishes in the state and contributes to India’s growth in

the high-tech sector,” remarked Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

“We are grateful to Hon PM Narendra Modi Ji and Union

Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw ji for giving the electronics cluster to Pune, which

is set to revolutionise the nation's technology and manufacturing landscape.

Maharashtra will continue to welcome industrial partners like Jabil and

re-engineer the business processes to create a seamless experience. Together,

we will shape a Maharashtra that serves as the powerhouse of India's growth

story,” he added.

Maharashtra Leads in Data Centers, Electronics, and Deep

Tech Sectors: Today, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Union Minister

Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated Jabil's new manufacturing facility and laid the

foundation stone in Pune.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has

achieved unprecedented progress in infrastructure, manufacturing, and

technology sectors. With projects like Vande Bharat trains, the

Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train, and modern railway infrastructure, India is

standing shoulder-to-shoulder with developed nations. Moreover, the planned

Mumbai-Pune-Hyderabad bullet train in the coming years will reduce travel time

between Mumbai and Pune to just 48 minutes, fostering the development of an

integrated economic zone in the region.

India has taken a giant leap in the electronics

manufacturing sector, and the contribution of world-class companies like Jabil

in this transformation is significant. About 60% of the country's data center

capacity is being developed in Maharashtra, positioning the state at the

forefront in deep tech, electronics, semiconductors, and chip manufacturing

sectors. Due to essential infrastructure, skilled manpower, and an

industry-friendly environment, Maharashtra is emerging as a major hub for

investments in these areas, Chief Minister Fadnavis noted.

Chief Minister Fadnavis stated that Maharashtra contributes

around 14% to the country's GDP and about 20% to the nation's total exports.

The state also leads in electronics exports, and the Electronics Cluster

awarded to Pune district will bring revolutionary changes to the country's

electronics sector.

An ambitious proposal to connect JNPT and the expansion

port, which is in its final stage of development, to an independent freight

rail corridor along the Samruddhi Mahamarg was presented before Union Minister

Ashwini Vaishnaw. Chief Minister Fadnavis mentioned that this corridor will connect

to dry ports in Jalna and Wardha, extending further to Gadchiroli.

Jabil's state-of-the-art manufacturing center is a symbol of

Maharashtra's industrial strength and the technology-driven transformation

taking place in the state. Such investments that integrate manufacturing,

research, and exports will further strengthen Maharashtra's identity as a

global manufacturing hub. Through industry-friendly policies, ease of doing

business, swift decision-making processes, and cutting-edge infrastructure,

Maharashtra has become the most preferred destination for investments. On the

strength of technology, manufacturing, data centers, electronics, and

world-class industries, Maharashtra will remain at the forefront in building a

developed India, asserted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.

On this occasion, MLA Dilip Walse Patil, MLA Gyaneshwar

Katke, Jabil's Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Andy

Priestley, Managing Director of Jabil Circuit India Pvt. Ltd. B.N. Shukla, and

other dignitaries were present.
