Delhi/Nice, 15 June (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron exchanged messages following their meeting in Nice, where the two leaders held bilateral talks and jointly participated in the Bharat Innovates 2026 event.

In a message, Modi described the first phase of his engagements in France as productive and said the India-France partnership would continue to scale new heights. He also said he looked forward to meeting Macron again during upcoming engagements in Evian and Paris.

The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Macron's participation in Bharat Innovates 2026 and said India and France would continue to work closely in the fields of technology and innovation.

Macron also shared a message after the meeting and posted a photograph with the Prime Minister.

The exchange came after the two leaders held discussions on strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas including trade, technology, innovation, defence, space and education.

Modi is currently on a multi-nation visit to Europe and is scheduled to participate in further engagements in France, including the G7 outreach sessions.
