Jammu, 14 June (H.S.): The Jammu and Kashmir Swimming team comprising eight members, including four men and four women, was flagged off early this morning at 8 am from the main gate of MA Stadium, Jammu.

The team was flagged off by Secretary Amar Singh Club Vijay Saraf in the presence of Jammu & Kashmir Swimming Association President Ramandeep Singh Soodan, General Secretary Bharat Kumar Sharma, Joint Secretary/ Coach Babita Rani, coaches Kuldeep Singh, Ajay Kumar and Pradyul and former President Jagbir Singh Soodan, along with other office bearers, swimmers and their family members.

The squad will participate in the 79th Senior National Aquatic Championships - 2026 to be held at the Aquatic Complex, Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, Gujarat from June 16 to 21, organized by the Gujarat State Aquatic Association under the Swimming Federation of India.

The team includes Musa Pervaiz Malik, Abhishake Sharma, Aditya Pratap Singh and Mukhtar Ahmed Bhat in men's category, while Chitrangna Sharma, Anahitam Gupta, Tegmeet Kaur and Avnee Aethmea represent women. The team will be accompanied by coach-manager Babita Rani and Jangvir Singh.
