
Guwahati, 14 June (HS): A three-day National Seminar on “From Tradition to Transformation: Integrating Bharatiya Itihas and Bharatiya Jñana Paramparā in Modern Governance” is going to be held at Cotton University from July 17 to 19.
The seminar is being organised by Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Assam in collaboration with Cotton University, North Lakhimpur University and North-Eastern Hill University. The event will focus on integrating India’s historical and knowledge traditions with modern governance, education and social development in the context of rapid globalisation and technological advancement.
The seminar will feature discussions on a wide range of themes, including Bharatiya Knowledge Systems (IKS), social harmony, cultural values, economic self-reliance, family as an agent of social change, responsible citizenship, environmental conservation, Indian history and constitutional values and the application of traditional knowledge to contemporary challenges.
Academicians, scientists, research scholars, students, social workers, policymakers and government officials are expected to participate. Presentations may be made either orally or through posters, while participants can attend both offline and online.
According to the organising committee, the last date for submission of abstracts is June 20, while acceptance notifications will be issued on June 21. Full papers must be submitted by June 30 and registration will remain open until July 15. The seminar sessions will be conducted on July 17, 18 and 19.
Registration fees have been fixed at ₹1,000 for academicians and scientists, ₹500 for research scholars and ₹200 for student participants. Online registration forms are available through a Google Form, while abstracts and papers may be submitted via email to the organisers.-----------
