Imphal, 14 June (HS): Manipur Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho on Sunday alleged that a group under the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement was involved in the abduction and killing of six Naga civilians and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take strict action against those responsible.

It may be mentioned that the six Naga men were abducted on May 13 and their bodies were later recovered in Kangpokpi district. Dikho described the incident as unacceptable and called for stronger measures to restore peace and law and order in the state.

Chief Minister Y Khemchand Singh said the case has been handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and assured that all those found involved would face legal action. He also stressed the need for surrender of illegal weapons and announced the deployment of an additional COBRA battalion to strengthen security operations.

The state government reiterated its commitment to ensuring justice for the victims and maintaining peace in Manipur.-----------
