Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh arrived on Sunday during the Shiva
Mahapuran Katha, organized by renowned storyteller Pandit Pradeep Mishra, at
the Baba Balkhandinath Temple complex in Diuli. He addressed the thousands of
devotees present at the conclusion of the fifth day of the Katha. In his
address, Harivansh Narayan Singh said that the Shiva Purana Katha is not merely
a religious event, but a means of giving life a positive direction. Such
stories inspire individuals to face and overcome life's challenges. He added
that the messages contained in the Shiva Purana strengthen moral values and
traditions in society. This purifies people's thoughts and conduct, and
promotes harmony and spiritual consciousness in society.
The Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha praised the large turnout and the
grandeur of the event, stating that such religious gatherings strengthen social
unity and cultural values. He noted that storytellers like Pt. Pradeep Mishra
are working to awaken moral values in society. He specifically praised
Dayashankar Singh, Transport Minister of the Uttar Pradesh Government, for the
success of the event. He said that Dayashankar Singh's role in making such a
large and well-organized religious event a success is commendable.
A large crowd of devotees gathered at the Katha Pandal on this occasion.
Devotees benefited from religious and spiritual experiences by listening to the
Shiva Mahapuran Katha. Security, traffic, and other arrangements at the venue
were running smoothly. On this occasion, Pandit Pradeep Mishra presented
Harivansh with a robe. Cabinet Minister Manoj Pandey was also present.
