South Salmara (Assam), 12 June (HS): Assam Police's intensified crackdown against narcotics continues across the state, with regular seizures of drugs and cannabis leading to the arrest of several traffickers.

In a fresh anti-drug operation, police in South Salmara launched a special drive and apprehended two suspected drug peddlers. During the operation, heroin was recovered and seized from their possession.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mamataj Ali and Zakir Hussain. Both were taken into custody for further investigation.

Police officials stated that the drive against illegal narcotics trafficking is being carried out relentlessly across Assam to curb the spread of drugs and dismantle trafficking networks.---------
