Bhubaneswar, 11 June (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has congratulated Debashish Samantaray on his election to the Rajya Sabha from Odisha.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the BJP candidate. He expressed confidence that Samantaray would continue to serve the state and its people with dedication.

Majhi emphasized Samantaray's extensive political experience and commitment to public service, believing these qualities would enable him to significantly contribute to a prosperous Odisha. He voiced his hope that the newly elected Rajya Sabha member would actively participate in the state's development and champion the interests of its citizens.

The Chief Minister also wished Samantaray success in his new role, praying to Lord Jagannath to grant him strength, wisdom, and continued success in public life.

Samantaray was elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha earlier on Thursday. He secured the Upper House seat from Odisha in a by-election after no other candidates remained in the contest.
