
Bhubaneswar, 08 May (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed profound sorrow over the killing of a young man in the Balianta area of Bhubaneswar.
On Thursday evening, the Chief Minister spoke with Director General of Police Y.B. Khurania about the incident and instructed the police to conduct a thorough investigation and take strict action against those responsible.
He urged the police administration and security forces to remain vigilant to prevent any recurrence of mob lynching or violence in the state. Emphasizing the importance of upholding the rule of law, the Chief Minister directed the police to implement the strictest measures against offenders.
Additionally, the Chief Minister discussed the situation with Shobhana Mahanti, Chairperson of the State Women's Commission. She plans to visit Balianta on Friday to speak with women who allegedly experienced misconduct during the incident and to investigate all aspects of the case to uncover the truth.
