
Mumabi, 07 May (HS): The death of four members of a
family in Paidhuni area in Mumbai was not due to consumption of watermelon, by
because of Zinc Phosphide found in their body parts. The cause of the death was
found by the forensic experts, but how and why the poisonous substance was
consumed is an issue of investigation.
Abdul Dokadia (45), his wife Nasrin (35) and two children
Ayesha (16) and Zainab (13) died after consuming mutton biryani and then
watermelon. Neither the Biryani nor Watermelon had any poisonous substance.
Zinc Phosphide, a strong poisonous substance usually used I rat poison, was found
in their body parts. .
The police have registered the case of accidental
death based on preliminary report. The question whether it was suicide or
someone induced the poison remains unanswered.
Police have recorded statements of those who ate Biryani
with Dokadia family and were not affected by any poison.
