Tamulpur (Assam), 07 May (HS): A two-day Agniveer pre-recruitment rally will be organised by the 17 Assam Regiment on May 16 and 17, 2026, at the regiment’s football ground in Tamulpur district. The rally is scheduled to begin from 5 am on both days.

The programme is being conducted as a preparatory and training initiative ahead of the Agniveer recruitment rally slated to be held in June this year. Candidates from Nalbari, Barpeta, Baksa, Darrang, Tamulpur, Kamrup Metro, Kamrup Rural, Udalguri and Bajali districts will be eligible to participate in the rally.

Organisers expressed hope that the initiative would help create awareness among aspiring youths interested in joining the Agniveer scheme and assist them in their recruitment preparations.
