New Delhi, 26 May (H.S.): The Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) will soon introduce a new version of its e-commerce portal for ‘Khadi India’ products, said KVIC Chairman Manoj Kumar on Tuesday.
Releasing provisional figures for the financial year 2025–26 at the KVIC office located at Gandhi Darshan, Rajghat in New Delhi, Kumar said that the Commission has set new benchmarks in the areas of production, sales, and employment generation.
He stated that KVIC is now moving towards a digital transformation in New India. “In the coming days, we are going to launch a modern Khadi e-commerce portal suitable for Generation Z. We are redesigning our entire digital ecosystem,” he said.
He further informed that the advanced e-commerce platform, powered by Shopify, will be aligned with global standards and offer an enhanced user experience. The platform will include clearly defined categories for easy product discovery, interactive features such as “Shop the Look,” and a mobile-first design approach.
He added that the platform will showcase products more effectively through high-resolution images, provide improved payment options, and also strengthen the storytelling aspect of the Khadi brand.
