New Delhi, May 25 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a Sanskrit Subhashita while extending his wishes for happiness, prosperity, and well-being for everyone. In a post on X on Sunday, he said that the blessings of nature, the energy of the Sun God, and the grace of rainfall should enrich the lives of all people with happiness and good fortune. He expressed hope that greenery and prosperity would always prevail on Earth.

The Prime Minister shared the following *Subhashita*:

“शं नो देवः सविता त्रायमानः शं नो भवन्तुषसो विभातिः।

शं नः पर्जन्यो भवतु प्रजाभ्यः शं नः क्षेत्रस्य पतिरस्तु शम्भुः॥”

Explaining its meaning, he said the verse prays that the radiant protector, Lord Savita, may shower his blessings upon humanity; that the bright sunrise may bring happiness and prosperity into people’s lives; and that Parjanya, the deity of rain, may safeguard the welfare of the people. It further invokes blessings from the lord of fields, crops, and land to grant happiness, peace, and prosperity to all.
