Guwahati, 25 May (HS): Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday welcomed Bhutan Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay at Assam Lok Bhavan in Guwahati and held a meeting with him.

During the meeting, both sides held detailed discussions on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation in the larger interest of the Northeast region, with special focus on Assam.

A cultural evening highlighting Assam’s rich cultural heritage and traditional hospitality was also organized in honour of the visiting dignitary.----------
