Lucknow,

25 May (HS): Uttar Pradesh Energy Minister AK Sharma announced on Monday that

the state had its highest-ever energy supply, saying that peak demand reached

31,804 MW at 10:39 p.m. on Sunday night, the most in the nation. In a series of

postings on X from yesterday and today, Sharma stated that Uttar Pradesh has

been establishing new records in electricity supply, calling the data the

highest in both the state's and the country's history. At 10:01 p.m., UP

reported a high supply of 31,774 MW, shattering all prior records. Later, at

10:39 p.m., peak supply hit 31,804 MW, according to his Monday post. He further

stated that no other state in the country had reached such levels of energy

delivery.

Sharma

also stated that uninterrupted electricity supply of up to 24 hours is provided

in urban areas, while rural areas receive approximately 22 hours of power per

day. Referring to the power department's field activities, the minister stated

that electrical professionals were working around the clock to alleviate local

disturbances caused by technical, natural, or human issues, and asked people to

recognize their efforts. He called for public tolerance and cooperation,

stating that personnel were constantly working to restore and sustain supplies.

In

his Sunday tweet, Sharma claimed that Uttar Pradesh's peak supply reached

31,000 MW at 2:33 a.m., the most in the state's history. He also stated that

the state has continuously broken its own records, and that it only competes
