New Delhi, 02 May (H.S.): The Modern Coach Factory (Aredica) in Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh, created history on Saturday by dispatching its inaugural 16-coach Vande Bharat Chair Car trainset for dynamic testing and field trials. With this milestone, Aredica has formally entered the production of Vande Bharat trainsets.
According to the Ministry of Railways, the train is equipped with state-of-the-art Siemens propulsion systems, and oscillation testing will be conducted before its induction into regular service. This will enable a comprehensive evaluation of ride quality, safety standards, and dynamic performance.
This trainset, manufactured by Aredica, incorporates several advanced engineering enhancements prioritizing reliability and safety. It features comfortable seating, jerk-free travel, fully sealed gangways, and modern amenities like automatic plug doors to minimize noise.
For safety, the train includes indigenous 'Kavach' Automatic Train Protection system, advanced fire detection (with aerosol-based suppression), and protective measures for under-slung equipment.
Additionally, vacuum infusion technology delivers superior-quality interiors with enhanced finishing.
The train is fully accessible for persons with disabilities, featuring ramps, designated spaces, and special amenities to ensure seamless and inclusive travel for all passengers.
This new Vande Bharat trainset from Raebareli's Aredica represents a pivotal step toward Indian Railways' goal of faster, safer, and modern transportation, embodying commitments to Atmanirbhar Bharat and world-class manufacturing.
The Vande Bharat program commenced in 2018 with just two trainsets and is now approaching the significant milestone of 100 trainsets. Today marks a crucial juncture, with the first trainset from Raebareli's Aredica dispatched for testing.
