02 May (HS): A fire at a chartered accountant's office in Lucknow’s Hazratganj

severely damaged computer equipment. A nearby factory in Kanpur was engulfed in

flames, but swift firefighting efforts saved lives. Authorities mobilized

various teams to properly control and extinguish the flames, assuring safety in

the impacted districts.

Officials

claimed on Saturday that a fire broke out in a Chartered Accountant's office

near the La Plus building in Hazratganj, causing computer systems and

electrical equipment to be damaged. Firefighters arrived at the scene and

extinguished the fire.

Kumar Rawat, Hazratganj Fire Safety Officer (FSO), stated, The Fire Service's

control center got information that a fire broke out in an office near the La

Plus building. After getting the notification, we arrived with two fire tenders

and saw that two rooms on the first floor of a CA office had caught fire. A

potential electric short circuit might be the cause. Although there were no

casualties, the office's computers and other equipment were severely damaged.

Meanwhile,

a fire broke out at a factory in the Rakhi Mandi neighborhood of Kanpur, Uttar

Pradesh, on Friday, according to officials. Fire crews were sent to the scene,

and firefighting operations began immediately. Deepak Sharma, Chief Fire

Officer, stated that the department received information about the incident

through the control room, and that many fire engines from surrounding stations

were dispatched to contain the situation. The control room informed us that an

industry exists in the Rakhi Mandi area. A large fire erupted on the ground and

first levels, threatening to consume the neighboring industries. Given the

gravity of the situation, six to seven vehicles were dispatched from

surrounding fire stations, he added.

He

stated that firefighting units reached the location from three directions, with

the priority of evacuating people. Our team sent fire departments from three

directions, with the primary purpose of evacuating individuals. We've nearly

fully quenched the fire.There are no injuries, no casualties. The entire

operation is conducted in utmost safety. Sharma said that 7 to 8 fire brigade

vehicles are now on the scene.
