Itanagar, 02 May (HS): A mild earthquake measuring 2.4 on the Richter scale was recorded in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kamle district on Saturday afternoon. No loss of life or damage to property has been reported so far.

According to available information, the tremor was felt at around 1:59:04 PM IST. The quake was of low intensity and did not trigger any immediate concerns among residents.

As per the National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was located at a depth of 5 kilometres beneath the surface. The coordinates of the epicentre were recorded at latitude 27.865° North and longitude 94.239° East.

Authorities are monitoring the situation and no aftershocks or related incidents have been reported.-----------
