Bhubaneswar, 02 May (H.S.): In a move that has generated considerable political interest, Dilip Ray, a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament, on Saturday visited the Mahanadi Vihar residence of suspended BJD MLA Souvic Biswal in Cuttack.

During the visit, Ray held discussions with Biswal and his father, former legislator Prabhat Biswal. While no official statement was issued regarding the purpose of the meeting, it has drawn significant attention within political circles across the state.

The interaction is being viewed as particularly noteworthy given Biswal’s support to Ray during the recently concluded Rajya Sabha elections. Although the agenda remains undisclosed, the meeting has sparked speculation about potential political realignments and future strategies in Odisha’s evolving political landscape.

Earlier, on April 27, Ray had visited the residence of Mohammed Moquim in Cuttack, where he met him in the presence of Barabati-Cuttack MLA Sofia Firdous. During that meeting, Ray expressed gratitude to both leaders for their support in the Rajya Sabha election.
