

Oslo, May 19 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the Norwegian capital Oslo on Monday, the fourth day of his five-day, six-nation foreign tour. Upon his arrival, he was received at the airport by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
This marks the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in more than four decades.
Prime Minister Modi will participate in the third India-Nordic Summit, scheduled to be held in Oslo on May 19. During the summit, he will hold discussions with leaders of the Nordic countries on various bilateral and regional issues.
In a post on the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi said that he had arrived in Oslo and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre for the warm welcome at the airport.
He stated that this is the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Norway in over four decades and expressed confidence that the visit would inject new momentum into India-Norway friendship and bilateral relations.
The Prime Minister further said that he would meet Harald V and Queen Sonja, and would also hold bilateral talks with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
He added that the third India-Nordic Summit in Oslo would provide an important opportunity to meet and engage with leaders of the Nordic nations.
