16 May (HS): Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, formally greets

the people of Sikkim on Sikkim Statehood Day (May 16), which commemorates the

region's historic merger as India's 22nd state in 1975. The Ek Bharat Shreshtha

Bharat program honors the cultural linkages between Uttar Pradesh and Sikkim.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath frequently sends public remarks praising

Sikkim's natural beauty, diverse population, and long-term prosperity.

In

a post on X, UP CM mentioned, “Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the

people of Sikkim on the State Foundation Day, adorned with natural splendor and

a rich cultural heritage. Under the guidance of the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri

@narendramodi ji and the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri @PSTamangGolay

ji, may Sikkim State continue to set new benchmarks in inclusive development

and public welfare—this is my prayer to Lord Shri Ram.”
