(HS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested another suspect in the
NEET paper leakage case. Manisha Gurunath Mandhare, a teacher in Botany in a
college in Pune was arrested in Delhi.
Mandhare is an
expert in Botany appointed by the National Examination Council. She had
complete knowledge about NEET paper in Botany and Zoology, and also had access
to question papers in these subjects.
During
investigation CBI found that Manisha Mandhare with Mainsha Waghmare from Pune
had collected some students at her residence for a special coaching. The
classes were held in April 2026. She marked questions in the textbooks of the
students, most of which appeared in the NEET held on May 3.
Action against
Waghmare has already been taken on May 14. CBI also arrested a teacher in
Chemistry Prof P V Kulkarni in connection with the paper leakage from Pune on
Friday.
The paper
leakage has wider connection spread in various states.
