Bhubaneswar, 14 May (H.S.): The Odisha Vigilance Department on Thursday carried out simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to Bhadrak CAD Division Junior Engineer Bijay Kumar Mohanty over allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

According to Vigilance sources, the searches were conducted based on warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore. A team comprising four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), four Inspectors, and supporting staff is currently carrying out the operation.

Raids are underway at four locations connected to Mohanty, including his triple-storey residence at Samaraipur in Bhadrak town, his ancestral double-storey house at Narasingdiha under Basta in Balasore district, his office in Bhadrak, and the residence of a relative at Malipada in Bhubaneswar.

The search operation is continuing as officials examine documents and assets linked to the case.
