(HS): On Gujarat Foundation Day (May 1), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath sent greetings, recognizing the state's substantial growth and
hailing its transition into a model for progress. On the state's 66th
anniversary, he reflected on the journey since its founding in 1960, as well as
the accomplishments under present administration. CM Yogi joined other national
leaders in congratulating the people of Gujarat on May 1, 2026, the state's
founding day. He emphasized the state's growth, stating that, despite initial
obstacles in 1960, Gujarat has become a leading example for development. Gujarat
was formed from the Bombay State on May 1, 1960, and this day is celebrated
yearly to commemorate its independence.
UP CM mentioned in a post on X, “Heartfelt
congratulations and best wishes to the people of Gujarat on the Foundation Day
of Gujarat State. This sacred land of the 'Father of the Nation' Mahatma Gandhi
and the Iron Man 'Bharat Ratna' Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has shown the path of

enterprise, enthusiasm, and creativity establish ever-new benchmarks of
