April 9 (HS): On Thursday, Interpol issued a Red Corner Notice against Shubham
Jaiswal, the mastermind of codeine syrup smuggling and accused in the case of
large quantity of codeine cough syrup recovered at Rohaniya police station in Varanasi
district of Uttar Pradesh.

Neetu told reporters on Thursday that the main accused in the codeine syrup
smuggling case, Shubham Jaiswal, a resident of Kayastha Tola Prahlad Ghat, is
currently absconding in Dubai. Shubham is an accused in the case registered at
Rohaniya police station. An application was submitted to Interpol for the
issuance of a Red Corner Notice for Shubham Jaiswal 's arrest. Now, with the
cooperation of the CBI, Interpol has issued a Red Corner Notice.
He
stated that after the Red Corner Notice is issued, Shubham Jaiswal will be
arrested by the police of the relevant country. After this, the process of
extraditing Shubham Jaiswal to India will begin. Shubham Jaiswal will be
brought from Dubai and presented before the relevant court here.
