April 9 (HS): A six-month-old infant died from injuries sustained in a wall

collapse event at a temple here on Thursday, according to authorities. The

event occurred about 11 a.m. at an ancient Hanuman temple in Dandiya, within

the Aliganj police station boundaries, when a crumbling temple wall fell

unexpectedly.

According

to the authorities, some people had constructed temporary houses along the wall

and were living there. The newborn, the son of Gajodhar, an autorickshaw driver

originally from Sitapur who now lives near the temple, was caught in the debris

when the wall collapsed. After receiving information, police went to the scene,

extracted the youngster from the rubble, and transported him to a hospital,

where he was sent to King George's Medical University (KGMU) for further

treatment.

According

to authorities, the kid died as a result of injuries sustained while receiving

treatment. Police officers have been dispatched to the location to ensure law

and order, and additional investigation and legal processes are underway, they

said.
