Guwahati, 07 April (HS): Union Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita on Tuesday stated that the passports presented by the Congress in the name of Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma are fake, dismissing the allegations as baseless.

Addressing a press conference, the minister said that the Government of India has officially declared all the passports shown by the Congress as fraudulent. He added that the claims regarding Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma holding passports from the UAE, Egypt, and Antigua were untrue.

Margherita further informed that the governments of the three countries — United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Antigua and Barbuda — have formally communicated to the Government of India that the passports in question are fake.

He reiterated that the matter has been verified through official channels and termed the allegations made by the Congress as misleading.-----------
