Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated the 12th India Rubber Expo at Bharat Mandapam on Tuesday, extending a warm welcome to representatives from various countries.
The expo features participation from over 14 nations, including China, alongside leading international and Indian rubber industry players, organized by the All India Rubber Industries Association from April 7-10—as Asia's largest rubber sector event.
In an X post, the Chief Minister credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership for establishing India as a robust manufacturing powerhouse through 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives, positioning the rubber industry as a key pillar.
She highlighted India's entry into the second phase of its civil nuclear program as a historic milestone reflecting scientific prowess, self-reliance, and growing global confidence.
The Chief Minister affirmed the Central government's sustained efforts in accelerating industries, with the Delhi government committed to bolstering investment, innovation, and an industry-friendly ecosystem.
