
Guwahati, 07 April (HS): A team of Assam Police reached the residence of Congress leader Pawan Khera in the Kaka area of the national capital on Tuesday, but he was not found at the premises during their visit.
According to sources, the police team arrived as part of ongoing action initiated following directives linked to recent developments involving Khera. However, upon reaching the residence, officials discovered that he was not present at the location.
It has been reported that Pawan Khera had already departed from Delhi and is currently en route to Hyderabad. The exact purpose of his travel was not immediately known.
The move comes amid indications that action has been initiated against Khera under the direction of the ongoing investigation by Assam Police, intensifying the political developments surrounding the Congress leader. It may be mentioned that Pawan Khera was laveled a series of serious allegations against Riniki Bhuiyan Sharma, the wife of Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. Khera, in a press conference told on Sunday that Riniki is holding the passports of tree defferent countries. Riniki Bhuiyan has lodged an FIR against Pawan Khera in Assam Police Crime Branch. Accordingly, the Assam police is acting now.-----------
