Azamgarh,
6 April (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed a public gathering after
inaugurating a dairy plant at an event held in Miriya Redha village,
Bilariaganj development block, where he targeted previous governments,
particularly the Samajwadi Party, saying that development of Purvanchal was
never on their agenda. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the previous
Samajwadi Party government saw development only in Saifai, while Purvanchal
remained neglected. He said that his government has given the region a new identity
by connecting Purvanchal with the Purvanchal Expressway. The establishment of a
university in Azamgarh named after Maharaja Suheldev and the construction of a
network of four-lane roads throughout the region are part of this development.
The
Chief Minister said that this work could have been done earlier, but previous
governments prioritized vote bank politics. He said that Azamgarh previously
had a negative reputation, and people were even reluctant to rent rooms in
hotels, but now the situation has changed and the district's image has
improved. Praising Narendra Modi's leadership, the Chief Minister said that the
dream of Jan Sangh's first president, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, of one
flag, one leader, one constitution has been realized. He said that the
Congress government had implemented Article 370 in Kashmir, which the Modi
government abolished, delivering a decisive blow to terrorism.
He
also said that the dreams of leaders like LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi are
also being realised by the present government. CM Yogi said that earlier only
slogans were raised in Ayodhya, but now a grand Ram temple has been built under
the double engine government. Continuing his attack on the Samajwadi Party, he
said that previous governments pursued appeasement politics instead of
development, whereas the current government is carrying out development work
without discrimination. And this will continue.
