Jalgaon, 06 Apr (HS): Jalgaon District Central

Cooperative Bank has decided ti waive interest on about Rs 300 crores extended

to development societies. These societies were facing problems in repaying

loans extended by the District Bank. The decision to waive interest has granted

relief to the societies.

The decision is expected to boost extending fresh loans

to farmers, who suffered huge losses during the past monsoon season due to

heavy rains, floods and unseasonal rains.
