
Guwahati, 06 April (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday stated that the three passports allegedly linked to his wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, and circulated by the Congress, have been officially declared fake by the Central Government.
Addressing the issue, the Chief Minister said the Congress had earlier accused his wife of possessing passports from the UAE, Egypt and Antigua. Following these allegations, Sarma himself had urged the Central Government to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.
He informed that after due verification, the Central Government has formally confirmed that all three passports were fake, dismissing the claims made by the Congress.-----------
