London, 29 April (H.S.): The UK Foreign Office has summoned Iranian Ambassador Syed Ali Mousavi following a provocative social media post from the Iranian Embassy in London, which urged Iranian expatriates to sacrifice their lives for their homeland—a statement branded as completely unacceptable and inflammatory.

The post, revealed by the Daily Mail and published on the embassy's official Telegram channel in Farsi, called on proud Iranian compatriots to join a martyrdom program: Let us all together sacrifice our bodies one by one, for it is far better than handing our country over to the enemy.

UK counter-terrorism police confirmed they are investigating the message as a potential security threat.

Middle East Minister Hamish Falconer summoned the ambassador Tuesday, stating the Foreign Office action responded to the embassy's unacceptable comments. Such actions and remarks are wholly unacceptable. The embassy must immediately cease any communications that could be interpreted as inciting violence in the UK or internationally, the statement emphasized, reaffirming national security as Britain's top priority.

The embassy defended the post as patriotic symbolism, denying it promoted hostility. Iran's exiled Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi's chief of staff, Cameron Khansarnia, called it a direct threat to UK national security, warning of escalating aggression plots on British soil. Israel also condemned the message.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer recently announced plans to designate Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, following US and Canadian precedents. The pro-Iranian group Harakat Ashab al-Yamin al-Islamiya recently claimed responsibility for arson at Kenton United Synagogue in northwest London, with UK intelligence probing its IRGC ties.
