New Delhi, 29 April (H.S.): BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh slammed Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's May 1 special assembly session as treasury looting and political circus. He accused the crumbling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government of misusing the sacred legislative house to distract from failures, broken promises, mafia rule, and public anger over extortion rackets.
Speaking to media, Tarun Chugh demanded the Punjab government first explain the state's decline over four years in the name of change. He challenged: if serious, release ₹15,000 crore immediately for employees' DA arrears instead of Labour Day theatrics.
Targeting Congress-AAP dynamics, Chugh called their Punjab rivalry fake wrestling—friends in Delhi, foes here to mislead voters. He branded Congress a complete failure as opposition.
Punjab knows true traitors, Chugh declared. Those who crushed dreams, looted ₹20,000 crore via mining mafia, robbed youth futures. Traitors who denied promised financial aid to women after 50 months, left farmer MSP and loan waiver pledges unfulfilled, delivered only deception on education-health revolutions.
Chugh alleged AAP piled ₹4.75 lakh crore debt on Punjab, pushing it decades back while the party implodes internally.
On Kejriwal's court politics, he asserted: India's democracy runs by Constitution and judicial process, not accused whims. Courts decide justice.
Chugh predicted Punjab voters will deliver a resounding verdict in 2027.
