
New Delhi, 29 April (H.S.): Patiala House Court extended judicial custody of four accused in the Parliament security breach case until May 4. Additional Sessions Judge Amit Bansal scheduled the next hearing for that date.
During Wednesday's hearing, the court heard arguments from accused Amol Dhanraj's counsel Balraj Singh Malik. Delhi Police sought time to argue as Special Public Prosecutor Akhand Pratap Singh was unavailable, prompting the adjournment.All accused appeared in court.
On March 13, Delhi High Court modified accused Neelam Azad's bail conditions, allowing residence in her home district Jind, Haryana, with monthly reporting to the IO on the 15th.
The High Court granted bail to Neelam Azad and Mahesh Kumawat on July 2, 2025. Delhi Police filed a supplementary chargesheet July 15, 2024, invoking BNS sections 186, 353, 153, 452, 201, 34, 120B, and UAPA sections 13, 16, 18 against Manoranjan D, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, Mahesh Kumawat, Sagar Sharma, and Neelam Azad.

The December 13, 2023 incident saw two accused jump from Parliament's visitor gallery into the chamber, releasing yellow smoke from shoes, causing chaos. MPs subdued them before security intervened; two others were detained outside for sloganeering and smoke release.
