Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National
President Nitin Nabin, who were here to participate in Prime Minister Narendra
Modi's program, paid their respects to Baba Vishwanath, the ruler of Kashi,
today. President Nitin Nabin performed the ritualistic abhishekam of Baba's
holy Jyotirlinga in the temple's sanctum sanctorum and performed the ceremonial
darshan and puja.
On this occasion, on behalf of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, the Chief
Minister presented a memento and Prasad to BJP President Nabin, who had come to
Baba's court for the first time. Present during this time were BJP State
President and Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary, along with
Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brijesh Pathak, Labor and
Employment Minister Anil Rajbhar, Minister of State for Stamps (Independent
Charge) Ravindra Jaiswal, Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Dr.
Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu', former Minister and MLA Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari, and
Regional President Dilip Patel.
Earlier, the state's Chief Minister
Yogi Adityanath himself welcomed the National President at Babatpur Airport.
From the airport, the BJP President left for darshan at Shri Kashi Vishwanath
Temple under tight security. From Babatpur Airport, he reached Vishwanath
Temple via Shivpur, Atulanand, Police Line Tiraha, Chowkaghat, Lahurabir,
Maidagin. During this, BJP workers kept welcoming him by showering flowers at
various places. BJP workers welcomed him with drums and trumpets at the welcome
points made on the Yatra route from Babatpur Airport to Kashi Vishwanath
Temple.
